The entire frame is constructed from thickened steel tubing, with precision-polished gaps between the inner and outer tubing, preventing jamming and wobbling during lifting. The internal transmission screw is lubricated with long-lasting grease, eliminating the need for frequent oiling during long-term outdoor use. Two anti-corrosion treatments are available: the basic model uses electro-galvanizing, sufficient for everyday urban paved roads and short-term camping; for coastal areas, docks, and rainy/humid regions, hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating is recommended, offering significantly improved resistance to salt spray corrosion and preventing peeling and rust even under prolonged exposure to wind and rain-a feature many cheaper, thinner frames cannot match.
The operation involves a side-mounted hand crank design. The handle is covered with non-slip soft rubber, preventing slippage even with oily or wet hands. It's easy for a single person, including a woman, to operate without much effort. Multiple lifting stroke options are available, with a standard extension range from 220mm to 380mm. This allows for fine-tuning to level uneven terrain, such as campsites and loading/unloading areas. When docking with a tow truck, no manual lifting is required; one person can align the hook, significantly saving loading and unloading time.
The hand-cranked lifting frame primarily uses mechanical gear transmission. Its core structure includes a base, inner and outer sleeves, a screw, a bevel gear set, and a hand crank.
Transmission Mechanism: Manually turning the crank rotates the first bevel gear, which in turn drives the meshing second bevel gear and the screw.
Linear Motion: Because the nut is fixed to the inner sleeve, the rotation of the screw pushes the outer sleeve to slide up and down along the inner sleeve, thus achieving vertical lifting.
Self-locking design: Utilizing the self-locking properties of worm gears or threads, this design ensures a stable stop after lifting, preventing heavy objects from slipping.
If you experience jamming, shaking, or weakness in the lifting frame during daily use, please refer to the following maintenance methods
Lubrication: Regularly apply grease to the screw and gears to keep them smooth. Before use in winter, it is recommended to run it unloaded a few times to warm it up.
Abnormal noise and jamming: This is often caused by impurities entering the gearbox or long-term lack of oil. Disassemble, clean the dirt, and refill with lubricating oil
Severe internal leakage: If the hydraulic model fails to lift or slowly descends, it is usually due to aging and damage to the cylinder seals, causing internal leakage. Replace the seals promptly.
Compared to electric lifting supports, the biggest advantages of this hand-cranked model are its low failure rate and lower procurement cost. It requires no wiring, eliminates concerns about a dead battery, and can be used stably even in environments without power. Compared to simple, thin-sheet metal supports on the market, our thickened pipe walls and reinforced gear transmission structure make it less prone to deformation and bending under long-term heavy loads, significantly reducing the repair rate. The only thing to note is that if you need to perform dozens of high-frequency lifting operations every day, you can prioritize the heavy-duty model with a larger gear ratio for heavy-duty commercial applications. For daily household use and small to medium-sized trailers, the standard side-swing model is perfectly adequate.
